Wishlist

Ah, material possessions. This week I feel my life would be enhanced by the following items:

A blue polka dot dress.

The Style Me Vintage books.

A lovely pair of new heels

And this entire outfit (or at least the coat!) as worn by Essie Davis in the latest episode of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (IMDb link there)

I'm determined to have a go at replicating the coat... (sometimes I actually do some sewing!)

Shoes & dress from ModCloth
Books from AbeBooks

  4. Hi sweet dear, I hope you don't me poking around some of your older posts. I have this delightful (to me) habit of reading through most (or sometimes even all) of the back posts I didn't catch the first time around on blogs I really enjoy, and am making my way through some of yours this weekend.

I just had to comment on this one, as I pretty much feel off the couch from all the swooning and "awwwwing" I was doing over this precious kitty. I would take a million pictures of it, too, if it were my neighbour (the mister and I both have the biggest crushes on rag doll kitties).

Thank you very much for your insightful, terrific comment on my post about wanting this week. I too have wondered before what kind of similarities (and differences) their are between the material wants of a vintage loving gal like us today and a woman in the 40s or 50s. I suspect we share much in common, but perhaps want even more (and certainly items from a wider range of sources) than your average person back then.

    ♥ Jessica
